A little over a week ago we had a very successful kick-off. With over 75 supporters packing the room to standing together to preserve our buses. Our bus service keeps our community connected and is important to getting our economy back on track. This video tells the important story of Robert and Harry, who can't drive, but are active members of our community thanks to great bus service. Robert Chu and Harry Kiick's testimonies testimonies are just two of thousands across Clark County.
Some people say we can't afford to pay a little more to save bus service. We say, we can't afford not to. For two pennies on a $10 purchase, we can prevent 35% cuts to buses, preserve access for thousands of the most vulnerable citizens in our community, and keep our economy moving. Some of us ride buses but all of us need them; please join us to today with a contribution to help keep our buses .... |
We Won!The results are in, and while there are still a few ballots left to be counted, it is clear that Proposition 1 will be approved by voters, and our bus service will be preserved. A clear majority of voters in our community showed their support for public transportation, in spite of the vocal minority of naysayers - not to mention the recession.

Yesterday morning on Sept 15th, the Columbia River Economic Development Council endorsed proposition one. This is great news to the campaign. With a growing list of business, labor, environmental, and community organizations joining to together to preserve bus service.
